RENTING A CAR

For those planning on extending their stay and having a holiday after the wedding, this is great. You may still want to use the transfer to and from the airport and rent a car from the airport AFTER the wedding. Or, to save time we would recommend renting a car for the entire stay. Leaving the car at the venue for the wedding events and then leaving straight from the villa to your destination. The venue is a 1.5/2 hour drive to Florence, Siena, Umbria and Rome.

Renting a car is fairly easy in Italy. There are lots of different rental companies that are approximately £300-350 for 7 days with a small car. Italians do drive crazy, but as long as you are prepared we’ve been fine driving around. The hills in Tuscany/Umbria can be very steep, we’ve always got an automatic car as its saved us on the hills, up to you.
